After the ongoing liking and the licking, sucking, strong comments and some semi-anonymous friendship requests on every imaginable social media, there was The Wall. Our very own Berlin wall. The Collagistas wall at the Alternativ Gallery in Kreuzberg, mastered by the great Taher. And we finally stood there, live in early autumn, in art and orbit, coffee close by. The Mode’s Master and Servant through the speakers. And so it felt. Staring at all these collage-works of our colleagues, who were so brave (or desperate) to join in within only days after the first call in March, earlier this year. They showed up with brand new collage-works and quick screen shots. All works seemed to dance circles around each other on that wall. Exchanging their weird nature of very mixed media. Contacting each other just as the souls who put them together. More people showed up. Jet set, punters, punkers, hipsters, artists, art aficionados, curators, collage lovers, poets, press and more hipsters and hipsterellas. And already the first reviews where with us. Cutter´s Galore! Later that opening night the thirty something left overs of us called at this bar, ´Face´. We were hidden behind the curtains at the backstage area. Must have been long since it heard so many languages, dialects and drunken murmur. Pictures were taken and liked on demand. Back to where it all started. Are you still there? Rob Benders (Regentag)
