Dear artists and attendees of Collagistas Festival We really tried to stay positive through this coronavirus pandemic but we honestly don’t know how things are going to be this September. Spain has announced a four-phase plan to lift its stringent coronavirus lockdown and return to a "new normality" by the end of June. This means that we won’t have the freedom nor the time to prepare the festival as wewould like to. We also don’t know if this “new normality” will allow our meeting to take place as we wish. As you all know the Collagistas Festival is about being together, sharing our ideas and inspirations about collage. It is totally opposite to social distancing. With this in mind, we havedecided to cancel the event for this year. We really want to thank all the artists who applied for the 7th edition. We will be back! In the meantime keep making collage, keep making art! Collagistas team

Let's see where Collagistas will travel this year... For 2019 our theme is Universal Language. More infos about the festival will follow soon.. Here we are again, For the fifth year in a row, Collagistas Festival is travelling to a new destination to meet local and global collage artists. After our successful trips to Berlin, Thessaloniki, Eindhoven and Milan, we now go to Dublin, Ireland! This year the event starts on September 13th and ends on September 16th. The art-place that will host us is called Temple Bar Gallery + Studios (www.templebargallery.com) and the theme for this year’s exhibition is “Big Village, Small World”. Don’t forget! Collagistas Festival is organized by artists for artists. Is an annual celebration of contemporary collage art and not just another one collage exhibition. It’s about collage artists who meet each other once a year and organize workshops, installations, presentations and more. Each one of them present one brand new artwork of collage never shown before on the internet or in any gallery. Our primary purpose is to create an opportunity where collage artists from all over the world can come together to share ideas and thoughts about their collage practice and to disseminate this information through workshops and presentations. So, your presence there is necessary! If you think you can travel to Dublin and be a part of this event, you can apply by sending us your portfolio, your website and any additional information you want to share until end of April to [email protected]. |
